Depart the USA from your local airport and begin your pilgrimage to South Korea for World Youth Day 2027. Enjoy a full meal and inflight entertainment as you travel across the Pacific toward the vibrant city of Seoul. As pilgrims have done for centuries, leave behind the routines of daily life and prepare your heart for an extraordinary encounter with Christ, His Church, and millions of young Catholics from around the world.

Arrive at Incheon International Airport, and transfer to your hotel in Seoul for check-in.  Transportation is by way of taxi or public transportation (airport transfer not included in the package).  Celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving and enjoy a Welcome Dinner with the group this evening. Following breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Seoul using the official World Youth Day resources. Visit several of the city's historic churches and pilgrimage sites while becoming acquainted with one of Asia's most exciting and dynamic capitals.  We encourage (as schedule permits) a visit to Myeongdong Cathedral, the mother church of Korean Catholicism and the seat of the Archdiocese of Seoul. Completed in 1898, this beautiful Gothic cathedral stands as a powerful symbol of the remarkable growth of the Catholic Church in Korea and serves as the final resting place of several of the nation's early bishops. Lunch on your own nearby. This afternoon, World Youth Day 2027 officially begins as hundreds of thousands of pilgrims gather from every corner of the globe for the Opening Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Peter Chung Soon-taick, the Archbishop of Seoul. Experience the incredible joy of the universal Church as young Catholics unite in prayer, worship, and celebration, beginning a week dedicated to growing in faith, friendship, and discipleship.

Following breakfast, we begin the day with World Youth Day Morning Catechesis, one of the spiritual highlights of the pilgrimage. Gather with bishops and fellow pilgrims from around the world for prayer, inspiring teaching, discussion, and the celebration of Holy Mass. These remarkable encounters offer a unique opportunity to deepen understanding of the Catholic faith while experiencing the beauty and universality of the Church.

This afternoon, participate in the vibrant World Youth Day Youth Festival, where Seoul becomes a living celebration of Catholic culture through concerts, inspiring speakers, Eucharistic Adoration, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and countless exhibitions hosted by Catholic ministries from around the world. Pilgrims may also choose to visit nearby churches associated with the Korean Martyrs.  Free evening to continue enjoying WYD festivities!

After breakfast, we once again gather for Morning Catechesis with bishops and pilgrims from around the world, concluding with the celebration of Holy Mass.

This afternoon, pilgrims assemble to welcome the Holy Father to Seoul. One of the defining moments of every World Youth Day, this joyful celebration brings together the Successor of St. Peter with millions of young Catholics in an unforgettable expression of the unity of the Church. Through prayer, music, and joyful anticipation, pilgrims prepare for the extraordinary days that lie ahead.

Breakfast before our final Morning Catechesis session. Following prayer, discussion, and Holy Mass, enjoy participating in the continuing Youth Festival activities throughout the city. Pilgrims may visit the Vocations Fair, spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and simply explore!

This evening, we gather with the Holy Father and pilgrims from every nation to pray the Stations of the Cross. Meditating upon the Passion of Our Lord while surrounded by the universal Church is one of the most moving spiritual experiences of World Youth Day.

Following breakfast, we embark on what is considered by many the spiritual high point of World Youth Day: Pilgrimage to the Vigil Site. This Vigil Day|Evening is an unforgettable day of sacrifice, prayer, and deep encounter with Christ, culminating in an overnight vigil with the Holy Father. It involves a 12-15 mile walk while singing, praying, connecting with other pilgrims from every corner of the world – all carrying national flags.  Upon arrival at a designated Vigil site, we settle in to enjoy music and prayer opportunities, recitation of the Rosary, meal sharing and exchanging small gifts!

As the sun sets, Pope Leo will arrive for the Vigil Celebration which includes music and testimonials from young people, reflections by the Holy Father, silent prayer, and Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction.  The silence of millions adoring our Eucharistic Lord is often described as one of the most profoundly meaningful experiences of a lifetime.

Following the vigil, pilgrims remain at the site overnight – no hotels, only sleeping under the stars (sleeping bags encouraged!)

The morning begins at dawn with prayer, music, various speakers, and preparation for the Closing Mass, celebrated by the Holy Father. Pope Leo commissions the young church to return home as missionary disciples and announces the host city for the next World Youth Day!

We return to the hotel for a free evening to relax after this most memorable experience!

Breakfast at the hotel followed by a free day to explore Seoul on your own! Consider visiting  the N Seoul Tower on Namsam Mountain, praying at the magnificent shrines and churches such as  Danggogae or Seosomun; explore Gwangjang Market and Bukchon Hanok Village, or visit one of the five traditional palaces throughout the city!

Venture outside Seoul to Mirinae Shrine, where you will enjoy a tour, celebrate Mass, venerate the tomb of St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon, and have time to explore and pray at this expansive and serene shrine. Includes transportation, guide, and lunch.
