Following breakfast at the hotel, we visit nearby the Łagiewniki district, closely associated with St. Faustina and Jesus’ message of Divine Mercy. At the Shrine of Divine Mercy, we visit the saint’s convent chapel and tomb, venerate her relics, and pray before the image of the Merciful Jesus. We gather to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and celebrate Holy Mass. A Holy Hour and the Sacrament of Reconciliation are also planned (TBC). Enjoy free time to explore the shrine, visit the gift shop, and have lunch on your own nearby. Our day continues at the “Have No Fear” Center, home to a relic of St. Pope John Paul II’s blood and the bloodstained cassock he wore during the assassination attempt. Dinner & overnight in Krakow.
Following breakfast at the hotel, we travel to the city of Oswiecim for a guided tour of The Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camps (1.5 hours). Established in 1940 by Nazi Germany, darkness and sorrow overtake the atmosphere upon arrival in this area which stands as a reminder of some of the darkest moments in human history. It is here where St. Maximilian Kolbe and St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross (Edith Stein) faced martyrdom. We pray at the cell that imprisoned St. Kolbe which remains perpetually lit with a Paschal Candle. A visit to the Martyrdom Museum prior to our departure to Wadowice, the birthplace of Pope St. John Paul II (one hour). Following lunch on your own en route, we arrive in Wadowice to visit the Family Home Museum of Saint John Paul II and the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, where he was baptized. Mass is celebrated here this day (TBC). We return to Krakow this evening for free time to enjoy the Old Town as schedule permits.
Dinner & overnight in Krakow.
After breakfast at the hotel, we visit nearby Wieliczka to tour one of Europe's oldest salt mine (one hour). Excavated in the 13th century, it continuously produced table salt until 2007. It is now an official historic monument of Poland, as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We walk through the labyrinthine pathways, including underground passages and chambers, an underground lake, numerous salt rock carvings, four chapels, including the spectacular Chapel of St. Kinga, and a special appearance by Chopin! Time for prayer in the underground chapels with reflections on the faith of generations of miners who were part of the history of this impressive site. Holy Mass is celebrated at one of the chapels within the mine (TBC) or at a nearby church. Lunch on your own before returning to Krakow. A second visit to The Shrine of Divine Mercy as arrangements and schedule permit.
Dinner & overnight in Krakow.
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel, and we travel to Czestochowa to visit one of Poland's most revered 14th-century pilgrimage shrines, the Jasna Gora Monastery (2 hours). The monastery is home to the beloved icon of the Black Madonna. According to tradition, St. Luke the Evangelist (and iconographer) wrote this image on a tabletop from the home of the Holy Family, and it was later discovered, rescued and brought to Constantinople by St. Helen. St. Pope John Paul II visited this sanctuary 6 times during his papacy and presented it with the blood soiled papal belt from his assassination attempt in 1981. Here, we venerate the holy icon and view the monastery’s other sacred and artistic treasures. Mass is celebrated in one of the chapels here this day. Lunch on your own and time to explore the grounds. Check-in, dinner & overnight in Czestochowa.
Following an early breakfast and check-out at the hotel, we travel southwest to Kudowa Zdroj, Poland (4.5 hours). We visit the remarkable Kaplica Czaszek, the “Chapel of Skulls”, in the district of Czermna. Built in 1776 by a local Catholic priest, this small chapel contains approximately 3000 skulls and bones arranged along its walls and ceiling, with thousands resting beneath the floor. These are the remains of victims of wars and epidemics which serve as a sacred reminder of human mortality, the dignity of the deceased, and the importance of praying for the souls of the departed. Mass time and location TBC. Lunch on your own follows prior to our continued journey to Prague in the Czech Republic (3 hours).
Check-in, dinner & overnight in Prague.
Following breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious. Also known as the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague, this church was built in the early 1600s and is home to the renowned statue, “The Infant of Prague”, noted for its depiction of the Child Jesus holding the “globus cruciger” (cross-bearing globe). Our final pilgrimage Mass is celebrated here this day (TBC). Time for personal prayer and reflection follows. We continue to the Prague Castle Complex to visit the magnificent St. Vitus Cathedral (begun in 1344), which houses the tomb of St. Wenceslaus, the patron saint of the Czech Republic. Nearby we see the Basilica of St. George (founded in 920), which houses the tomb of St. Ludmila, grandmother of St. Wenceslaus and one of the earliest martyrs of Bohemia. Lunch on your own with free time as schedule allows. Farewell Dinner & overnight in Prague.

A Note from Trinity Tours Travels:
We are honored to have you travel with us and appreciate your trust in
Trinity Tour Travels for your pilgrimage! Though every effort will sincerely be made to follow the above itinerary, it should be considered a template of the journey, rather than a “contract” of sites to be visited. There are times when local religious or national holidays, weather, traffic challenges, etc., may cause us to make changes in our schedule. This MAY result in a change in the sequence of sites visited or, on the rare occasion, the missing of some certain site visits entirely.
As with all in life, we encourage the acceptance of possible change with a cheerful heart...after all, it is sometimes the unexpected that often makes the most beautiful memories! Enjoy your trip to the fullest and relish every moment!
